Starting a New Gift Card Sale

It was a quiet Tuesday when a customer walked into the store with a request: “Can I buy a gift card for my sister?”

Jake, the sales associate, clicked into the POS module and selected Sale from the left menu. From there, he tapped the Gift Card button on the POS tile screen to launch the setup wizard.

The wizard opened instantly. Jake entered the details:

  • A short message: “Trick or Treat!”
  • Recipient’s name and email
  • $100 value with an October 31st expiration date

Completing the Sale and Resending a Gift Card (If Needed)

Once everything looked good, Jake hit OK, which added the gift card to the cart. The checkout screen showed the item just like a normal product. He completed the sale, took payment, and clicked View Sale to review the transaction details. It was fast. Clean. No confusion. And best of all, the gift card was sent automatically, no manual follow-up needed.

A few minutes later, the customer returned, her sister hadn’t received the email. Jake stayed calm. He opened the Store module from the left menu, clicked Gift Cards, and found the most recent order. With just a tap of the three dots, he selected Resend Gift Card, confirmed the recipient’s email, and pressed OK.

Fixed in under a minute. No hassle.
