When Preparation Meets Peace of Mind

Outages may be rare, but preparation ensures they never become disasters. By keeping a backup device like the PAX A920 ready, you safeguard both your sales and your reputation. It’s not just about transactions, it’s about trust.

Every moment your systems stay operational, even offline, is a moment your customers feel taken care of.
And that trust is what keeps them coming back.

How It Works in the Moment

When the system goes down, here’s how a typical recovery flow unfolds:

You reach for your PAX A920 backup terminal and power it on. From the menu, you open the TSYS Sierra app, your direct line to offline processing.

The interface is simple: tap “Sale,” enter the total, and have the customer insert or tap their card.
In seconds, the receipt prints out, transaction approved. It feels almost routine, because it is. You hand the customer their copy, keep one for your records, and promise them their purchase is secure.

Back at your workstation, you open Flawless POS and record the transaction: choose “Card Already Received” as the payment method, input the authorization code from the receipt, and hit save.

Finally, you finalize the batch by keeping the device powered on (for automatic batching) or closing it manually through Function → Batch → Close Batch.

And just like that, the sale, the record, and the integrity of your workflow are all complete.

“Preparedness isn’t about fear, it’s about ensuring confidence in every transaction.”

Key Features That Make the Backup Process Reliable

When your internet connection or payment gateway goes down, your backup process steps in quietly, doing the work of keeping your business running. Here’s what makes it effective:

Offline Transaction Capability - Process payments through a backup terminal, even when your main gateway is unreachable.
Accurate Record Logging - Record transactions in Flawless POS later, ensuring no payment is lost or duplicated.
Seamless Integration - Once your main system reconnects, all records align automatically during reconciliation.

Each step ensures your workflow stays smooth, your numbers stay right, and your customers stay happy.
